Will me Wii work in Aus?

I haven't bought one yet but about to purchase a Wii. Is it going to work in Aus, I think it will but need confirmation.
Don't want to go spending all that money if its going to be useless when I get over there.

I've read on here somewhere that you won't be able to buy games over there but maybe amazon or other internet sites will post to Australia, if they don't my son will be gutted.

:)not sure on the games side of things , but aslong as its PAL regon it will work ,ours does.

Yes we are using ours from the uk and have also got new games over here aslong as the games are pal compatible they will work

yes wii does work here and so do games, i bought a wii fit board here and it works fine but any games you do buy make sure they are PAL games only

Not dim at all.
Its stands for Phase alternating line, there, that helps doesn't it Basically you will have no problems with Games bought here or in the UK as we both use the PAL system as opposed to the USA who use NTSC
