UK computer/blank DVDs!

I have a video camera from the UK, put the home videos on my UK computer, but it will not recognise the DVD to copy it on to.

Also my daughters laptop wont recognise the blank DVD.

Any ideas anyone!!!

I cant do anything with all the filming I have done!

I presume your comoputer has a a DVD burner, and also you got to make sure you are using the right disks as you can get DVD-r and DVD+r.

 

You can check on your system somehow, cheap as chips do cheap disks just buy a some of the ones you have not got then see what happens.

If you have 2 computers that won't recognise the disc then it could be that you've bought some disks that aren't supported by the drives (DVD-RAM for example).

 

If you could give me the details of your PC DVD burner (from Device Manager will do), and the discs, I'll confirm one way or the other.

ive got some blank dvd + r discs i brought over from uk, i hardly ever use them so i`ll bring you a couple when i see you
