Nursing cources

If anyone out there knows anything about how to get on a nursing cource or has any information on the nursing cources here please let me know in trying to start a career because my old job is not reconised here. Many thanks lisa

Hi Lisa, Ive been nursing a long time so thought Id just put my opinion forward on your post. If you are interested, seriously in nursing, then its a fantastic career. The people you will meet will make you want to cry, scream, resign or simply make you realise why you chose this profession in the first place. It can be a very fulfilling and rewarding career. But be warned, its not easy. The academic process is extremly demanding. The wages both pre and post registration can be crap. The hours you need to study on top of your normal working week really impact your personal life.

So, yes, if its really for you, then apply for some work in a nursing home or hospital and see how you feel about it then. Have a look at the advertiser on Saturday, there are always organisations advertising the Cert 3 course.

Your other post says you have a background in sales, there is plenty of work in sales. My friend has turned down three sales jobs in the past fortnight and accepted one other.

Look, Im not having a go at you, nursing can be fab, you just need to be realistic about why you want to do it, not just cause you need a job.

Check out the university websites, they offer the nursing degree
