Hi All, only my second post so go easy.

 

Im a sparks and have just started the process back in the Uk. Even though the resession is in full swing over here i live close to London and as a general rule work has not been masively efected for sparkies. My question is how is life for sparkies in Adelaide, is finding work easy, is getting your licence a quick and simple process, and what is the average wage untill you get your licence and after.

 

Was over in April on a recce and everyone i asked said oh sparkie no worries loads of work, but i would apreciate some advice and tips from people who have done the emigrate route in my trade.

 

I have read loads of posts on here about people strugeling to find work in other careers and fully understant the recesion is global but relisticaly will not be coming out untill late next year.

 

PS - Amazed by the frendly atmosphere on this site/australia which is a massive deciding factor for our trying to emigrate as we have two little girls and feel that it is a safer and frendlier place to raise the children.
