am i entitled to ABN number?

Hi,rather than wade my way through the goverment website,does anyone know if you can get an ABN number,(..so to be self-employed or sub-contract),whilst on a 495 visa??,cheers.

Hi,

 

Both myself and hubby have had ABN numbers and are on the SIR495 visa.

 

You can apply for one online, the number is generated and they also send it in the post.

Just go to the tax office with your tax file number and they'll walk you through the process. I think we phoned for an appointment first if I remember rightly. Good luck Fiona x
