HGV Mechanic Job wanted

Hi we are Carl, Elaine & Alexandra

We have had our visas for a while now but have just got the house on the market...

My husband is a HGV mechanic who specialises in Refuse Trucks...but we are having difficulty finding any vacancies in that area...has anyone got any contacts with that type of job availability... we don't mind what area so long as there is a good school for our 8yr old daughter and my husband has a job...Thankyou

Sita advertised just the other week.

 

Veolia is the biggest over here i reckon, depot on Churchill road, one near port adelaide, and another down Lonsdale way. Loads of trucks, and still blue!

 

Theres loads of refuse trucks, Scania, volvo, dennis eagle, with various bin bodies. They have the side grabber model here, used for house hold. Due to recycling they use them a lot, we have a Heil single bar rear lift comes to collect the waste office paper! Not seen any Terberg rear bins, but you get loads of FEL for the industrial stuff.

 

No ros roca's with merc bodies though!

 

There are loads of other trucks, its the way Australia moves stuff...... have a look on Toll's (toll transport) website. Toll are probably one of the biggest movers. If you get really stuck give me a shout i have a contact there, but not promising anything.

 

Most of the trucks stuff is north of the city, stillwell trucks would be another, Scotts of Mount Gambier have a yard in Wingfield.

 

Most don't advertise, you just drop a CV in when here.

 

Don't expect a response untill you are here, Weird i know but they get soo many over seas applications its unreal. Once you can foward flight details you will start to get a response.
