where do we start looking for jobs

Hi folks

My husband was a transport manager for tesco in uk, we have been in adelaide for two weeks and are ready to start looking for work. Where do we start! whats the equivalent of the job centres over here? Or is it better walking through doors and asking? Any suggestions, we feel we need to get to meet people now and start putting down roots. Many thanks Stel

The best thing is to contact places directly, send out Cv and cover letter.

Alternatively there are decent job websites:

The advertiser also has jobs in it on a saturday.

Yes, get out as much as you can, phone, email, don't just wait for people to get back to you, they take ages, keep phoning! Just get your name everywhere. Have loads of copies of Cvs and have personal letters to each place aswell. If you email your cv phone to see if they have received it too. (Sorry resume!)

Try the agencies - Hudson, Hays etc if you have admin experience and want to start by going that route.
