Hi. I'm in the process of moving to Gawler and will continue with my work as an architectural photographer when I arrive. I am wanting to register a domain name but have been told individuals can only get .id.au and companies .com.au. Is this true and if so, can a sole propriator get .com.au?

 

Also, does anyone know if there is a turnover limit underwhich you don't have to be registered for the equivalent of VAT?

To get an .com.au you need to get a ABN number first from the tax office. I organize a lot of domains and hosting for companys and recomend Crazyhost or One.com as both of these provider give outstanding service.
