Help! I Hate My Job!!!

Hello

Just wondering if anyone can give me some advice or point me in the right direction really. Its almost our one year anniversary of living in Adelaide, and I'm thinking that its about time I look into finding a job/career that I actually like!!!!

 

Currently working within a hospital doing admin work, but desperate for something a little more interesting!!! Too be honest, this job was never intended to be a long term thing, but I needed some experience of office work and snapped up the opportunity....

 

What I really want to do is something working with either children or adults who have special educational needs. Got some experience of this, as I volunteered at a school which specialised in this area whilst at uni......

 

I eventually would like to go on to teaching in that field too, or within a mainstream high school with a focus on special needs. I have a degree in English and History in which I achieved a 2:1 classification.

 

Basically I am desperate for a job that is just abit more exciting, as I am bored bored BORED of the same mundane routine of being shouted at down the telephone and feeling constantly stressed!!!

 

I obviously look in the saturday paper, which I just think is pretty useless at the moment.... Constantly checking NOVA for anything gov based.... Don't really know what else to do....

 

If any one can help that would be fantastic.

 

I know I should be thankfull that I have a job to begin with but its slowly starting to ruin my Adelaide experience, which really upsets me as I have always been so positive about living here....

i heard from a mum that housing sa were really short of staff not sure if they are adverising worth a look based in modbury if thats close to you??

Sue, your PM was really interesting, definately going to look into it, sounds fab. Looking into the housing SA situation too... I am in modbury so that would be ideal.
