Opportunities - positions are opening and closing all the time, there is a real shortfall in quality BM, fitters etc in SA if your good there is work for you....

Not really sure what the pay rate is for a tiler you could try Fairmont Homes they are all ways hiring good tradies, google them there one of the biggest domestic home builders in the state.

lynsteve, the average wage for a BM is from $28 - $33 depending on experience

 

:shocked::shocked: is that all, omg !! its been a few years since i was in the trade, but thats peanuts for a tradie, no wonder no one wants to be in it, $30 for all that dirt and fumes, i'm really shocked.

Thanks Paul,you are very helpful.Rang Fairmont and they took number to ring us back.My Husband has been ringing Tilers in Adelaide and some are saying quiet not much work.All the work is in Queensland.

Remember steve as an agency they'll be charging the client approx $40 an hour.

They are the scurge of construction in britain and i hope they dont have the same grip in aus as they do here.

The rate over here is what i was getting 5 year ago.

Weak legisalation , anti trade union laws and an endless supply of men ready to be screwed . Need i say any more.

what about electricians.We've had our visa just ready to put the house up for sale so we'll be out when it sells in the next few months hopefully

hi,will let you know what we find out.we have just had out visa last month,are just freshening up the house painting etc and going to put it up on the market beginning of may.Hoping it will sell quickly so we can get out there,seems like we've been waiting forever.Hope your visa speeds along,take care clare
