Any IT jobs available

Hi,we are in Adelaide since the 7th May,hubby is looking for work,Networking,or desktop support,anything would help right now.He is Cisco and VMware certified as well.

 

The rands are running out pretty quickly now and having a job would be helpful,so if anyone knows of IT jobs or is in IT please help,thanks.:GEEK:

Get yourself registered with the recruitment agencies if you've not done so already, they get all the jobs first before they go on the job boards like http://www.seek.com.au.

There seems to be plenty of IT work around at the moment, my partner got a new job in 2 weeks of deciding to look for a new job and only had 1 interview and got the job.

 

His old job and a colleagues job at the same level have been advertised in the job paper and on seek and have only attracted 9 applicants for one job and 14 applicants for the other job and the presentation/standard of covering letters and resumes is pretty poor. These are both permanent steady jobs, offering excellent family friendly/work/life balance with a salary of up to $70k which is reasonable pay for the positions and yet they hardly attracted any interest. Other jobs advertised around a year ago in the team had attracted 70-90 applicants, so we figure people can pick and choose the roles they go for at the moment.
