Medical Administrator Jobs in SA????

Recommended Posts

Hi All

A friend of mine is a Medical Administrator. This is a fairly senior position, as described in the link below:

http://www.immi.gov.au/asri/occupations/m/medical-administrator.htm

She is British and has had a long career in the NHS, doing this pretty senior type of Admiinistration work. She's got all the relevant qualifications and some really solid UK experience behind her.

At the moment she is working for an employer in QLD. She would prefer to move to SA if possible because she has family in Adelaide. Anywhere in SA would do, though, because everywhere in SA is closer than QLD!

The lady's particular experience is Aged Care and the care of military veterans.

In terms of possible employers in SA, I've thought of SA Health, the Freemasons and the Catholics.

Can anyone suggest any other names, please? Is there a chain of (privately run) Care Homes run by XYZ Pty Ltd, for example? I just need some names so that she and I can get started on trying to find her a new job. ANY names will be very gratefully received - it does not have to be a huge chain and as long as they are in SA, whereabouts is not terribly important.

I would be very grateful for any help anyone can offer.

Many thanks

Gill

Hi

Just for some further information : Admin Manager at Noarlunga Hopsital is a lady called Ann Gowers, maybe worth droppping a CV into the main reception there. However they do most recruiting through SA health website. I do know that they are looking for Ward Clerks at the moment all vacancies are internally advertised at the moment but worth a shot anyway.

Hello Heidi

Thanks very much indeed for this lead. I've just searched the website for Noarlunga Hospital. They are part of a group that includes the Repatriation General Hospital, apparently - which specialises in caring for older people and military veterans, which is exactly what my friend was doing in the UK.

Since they are part of the same group, Ms Gowers is bound to know the name of the Medical Admin Manager at RGH, so with a bit of luck it might not be as difficult/impossible as I had feared for my friend in QLD to be able to move down to SA and maybe even to Adelaide.

Ms Gowers is also sure to know the names of some of the Medical Administrators who work in the private hospitals etc.

You are a little STAR, Heidi. I can't thank you enough for your help. I've e-mailed my friend with the information that you have so kindly provided and with some links I then found. I wouldn't have known where to start with this if it had not been for you.

Hugs

Gill

Guest Aussie pat

I hope this may be of help.

My Mum is currently in the process of leaving her retirement village which is run by Masonic to move closer to us. The new retirement set up is with ECH. There is also another aged care outfit called ACH. All 3 are larger reputable operations that cover wider areas of Adelaide. They provide independent housing, residential care and other support services for the aged. I have found the staff of all 3 to be very professional.
