Green open spaces and sports fields

Hi Guys, sorry another question! We are just waiting for that all important yes, had our medicals done 4 weeks ago so any day now.

 

My husband works for the local council in the uk as a groundsman so maintains the green open spaces and sports fields. He actually specialises in cricket pitches but does all types of sports pitches.

 

Does anyone know who maintains the green open spaces, conservation parks, recreation parks and reserves? We have heard that it is very similar to here in the fact that the council maintains them as well as the sports fields, is this true?

I know the council do all the reserves round about us but not sure about sports feilds I dont know if the councils apart from Adelaide in the city have sports grounds think its all clubs that have the sports grounds.
