Are there gas fitting jobs available?

Hi everyone, we are looking to come over in April all being well with the sale of the house. Does anyone know if there are many gas fitting or plumbing jobs around south Adelaide. Also we have heard that gas fitters have to do a test when they arrive and cant get a job untill they have had the test. Does anyone know if this is true and if so what does it involve?

The "test" you are referring to probably means licesnse, you need a license for most tthings here, and in some cases gas fitters also need to be plumbers!
