Motor mechanics/diesel fitters?

Hi all,

 

My other half works as a motor mechanic & MOT tester and is also a qualified diesel fitter specialising in diesel fuel pump repairs. Does anyone know if there is a demand for this type of work in Adelaide, and if there is anywhere he could look for work before we go over? We were granted our visa on Friday, so we are now thinking about jobs once we get to Adelaide.

im in the same boat as your partner, im a mechanic (petrol diesel) and class 3,4,5,7 tester and im looking for a job. diesel fitters are needed but not sure where i will be going to adelaide in april i will probably be looking to work in a dealers ship same where have look on www.gumtree.com for jobs in adelaide there is post on here about jobs and where to look

Have seen loads of adverts for diesel mechanics - alot are in the mining areas - loads of money but obviously working away for days at a time.

 

Look at http://www.workpac.com.au/ and http://www.seek.com.au

 

Had a quick look seems to be work about.

We have a couple of friends who are mechanics, they have both had plenty of job offers & are both in work. You won't have any problems, the Advertiser here always has jobs for this trade.
