Depends how much you need to earn, maybe a courier company that can offer you a regular all day run, probably the best companys to ring would be TNT,TOLL IPEC or Messenger Post.

You'll never get rich but if you can get regular work you could make a living. A lot of the courier companys are not good, if they can only offer adhoc work with no guaranteed minimum earning think carefully before signing up, a company A----d Ex----s used to ask new drivers to sign a contract which said they would have to pay $600 if they left within 6 months, that could be a weeks earnings probable top earnings would be about 1000- 1200 per week, van needs to be diesel or on gas.

I did it for a few months and found that they just looked after the ones that had been there the longest in the early stages you could be just sat waiting for hours on end.

It may be different and you may get a decent firm.

Plus you will have to pay your own tax ,fuel ,no sick pay, holiday pay or pension.

Sorry if it sounds a bit doom and gloom just trying to be honest with you.

Trevor is right that is why I suggested you go for one of the bigger companies and get some sort of guaranteed minimum earnings, things like everywhere else are very quiet at the moment.Of course you have to maintain your vehicle and keep it serviced, like I said you'll never get rich and it depends on how much you need to earn.

The courier that comes into my work was saying only last week that he is so busy with all the online shopping.

Looks like he owns his own van but delivers for Australia Post.

Good luck.

There is good money to be made in this game, but too many small companies paying peanuts.Try toll priority,dx or startrack. All of these drivers will earn from $1800 a week up to $2200 depending on hours.Aus post work is per parcel and very hit and miss
