Flights booked.......now jobs!

We will be landing on 11th September so now time to sort out work. Obviously we have been searching the usual spots etc however can anybody please recommend any agents of have ant contacts for myself and my wife

 

Me, Chartered projects and contracts manager for last 18 years in field of construction and insurance companies/loss adjusters. Also have formal Health and Safety qualifications.

 

My wife, 17 years as Snr pharmacy technician both primary and secondary experience with many qualifications and practical experience in many fields.

How did you find booking the flights? For me that was the *bombshell* moment......

 

I came without work, IT sys admin, but registered with about 5 recruitment agencies prior to the flight and then met up with them when we arrived. I was very lucky and had a few interviews in the first week.

 

I also brushed up my LinkedIn profile - for what it was worth, kept in touch with the agencies and made sure I had all my documents together pre-move - all nicely presented. I believe most people find they need to be here before they are considered seriously - but your fields might be different.

Thank you both, have a huge list of agencies so just need to establish which specialise in health care and which in construction and target them. Did you have cv's or resumes adapted and if so by who?

I had mine vetted by a nice lady on here and the agencies seemed to think they were okay. Jessica Berry might be able to give you some pointers - mine already seemed to be quite suitable for the job market here, but I was just in the right place at the right time with my current job.
