Another silly question!!!

Hi,

I don't really know the best way to ask this question...but here goes.

Most of my work experience is within white goods distribution/delivery.

I've looked on yellow pages but not found any companies within the Adelaide area.

 

If you were to buy a washing machine or such like, is there a delivery option?

If so who would deliver it? The retailer or the manufacturer?

 

I used to work for Hotpoint and if you went into your local electrical shop and ordered a hotpoint appliance then the chances are that Hotpoint would deliver it direct to your home, is this the way things work out there?

Most of the companies selling furniture/white goods use independant couriers or self employed drivers to deliver for them. From what I can tell there are no companies who employ delivery drivers themselves

I've just had a lot of stuff delivered from white goods shops and yes sarah is right, it is an independent company that delivers it.

I dont think you will find they are independant companies as such, more like a man with a van/lorry type thing!
