Mechanic migrating. How is the work situation?

My husband is a qualified Motor Mechanic we are looking to emergrate next year. Are there Sponsorship jobs out there in Adelaide? When the time comes what is the best say to seek employment? Thanks

Hi there,

If he works on heavy goods vehicles he might get sponsorship. I know someone who came over with Scania. If light vehicles, I think it's unlikely but worth a look. There always seems to be jobs for mechanics advertised on Seek so check them out and possibly line up some Skype interviews nearer the time.

There are always jobs for good mechanics.Avoid the December time and you wil always find jobs on the sites. I have even seen ads on repair shop walls.
