Anybody need their property decorated?

Hi there,

for those of you who don't know, my OH Andy is not just a painter but a decorator and a damn good one at that.:notworthy:

The list of areas which he covers are:- painting, papering, coving, external painting and decking areas stained/sealed etc. Skimming walls, tapeing.

He is also brilliant at a variety of paint effects which in the Australian houses I feel would look great since they don't really go much for wall coverings.

He can make a piece of plaster look as if it is marble and a plain white door as if it has been put back to it's full grain wood again, just by using his skills.

The work he carried out in Scotland was high profile properties ie. footballers homes and businesses, Hilton Group Hotels and also the infamous Turnberry Hotel in Ayrshire, in which he decorated the main ball room, the hotel already had marble columns but wanted them replaced in a different colour, my husband was contacted to see if he could change the colour without the enormous expense of changing the marble, which he did and you would never know the difference. They were so impressed that they called in a team of Italian designers to look at the work for their approval, in which they gave it, so this gives you some indication of what he is capable of doing.

He also worked on the intricate ornate detailing of the Edinburgh University Library where he had to carry out gold leaf work and minute detailing to the already existing plaster work in place.

Although he is capable of doing all these specialist areas as a decorator he is still a highly capable skilled tradesman for residential properties.

So if you think your home or business could do with a freshen up and a face lift with something that bit different, get in touch.

He will only be too happy to have a look and give you a quote and other ideas too if required.

PM me if interested.

Will keep him in mind if we ever get there. After just having our house professionally painted for the 1st time ever when getting it ready to go on the market I will never try it again myself

Hi Cornelia,

How weird.......As you know we have just moved into our first Oz home in Woodcroft and It needs some freshening up. Had a decorator round this week and was looking through the papers for some other quotes. Would be happy for your OH to come and take a look. Could be a BIG job as my OH goes pale at the thought of decorating. Please get him to give me a bell (should have my number on the netball sheet)

Cheers

Karen
