mental nurse question!

Hi

 

Have been here 7 weeks and just moved to Port Noarlunga. I'm a mental health nurse for older people and was wandering if any other Brits in a similar position have found job hunting tricky? I think if I was looking for general nursing jobs it might be easier... also hubby is finding it harder than we thought too - he works in IT. Any tips?!!

it seems a common issue, alot of people struggle to get work when they first arrive, while some fall into a job straight away. All i can suggest is apply for everything you can and if necessary do not be too choosy to start. Some dollars coming in is better than none.

Also look in all the papers and even personally knock on some doors if you have to.

As a nurse myself i had no problem but im in the general sector. Clinical one are advertising for mental health nurses

thanks, but i start at the repat on the 27th...it has all taken ages, but can't wait to get back to the world of work! (remind me of that in a few months!)
