Job Expo's

Hi all

There is a job expo in Coventry and in Leeds. What I want to know is, will the same companies be at both expo's or will it be different companies so... is it worth going to both expo's.

 

We have never been before just wonder if anyone has any advice

Hiya,

i went to the leeds expo in Feb/ Mar this year. They're quite good actually.

A lot of construction companies, govt reps from a few states, some health companies, and on occassions.....smaller specialised firms.

Can be crowded, and the kids get bored with it all; i would take your own drinks, they charge a small fortune for a small cuppa, and its horrid! Although the nice guys at moneycorp gave my kids a coke each, anything to stop them bleating:)

 

I think mostly the companies do the rounds, cost effective marketing; but at some of the bigger ones, you do get a few more exhibitors, clearly!!

 

Leeds i think is oct 17th ish.....there is a website just google expo at leeds......

 

Take your c.v's; ask loads and they will be on you like hungry crocs.............

Hi Janine,

 

The one at Leeds is on the weekend of the 18th 9.30-4.30 and theres one on the Sunday. Sorry can't help with one in Coventry. Hope you find it useful.

We have decided not to take the kids as we also thought it would be busy and boring for them. We are going to the Leeds expo on the 18th/19th Oct 08. But I couldnt make up my mind whether to go to the Coventry one as well after seeing Warren's post. Cov expo 11th/12th Oct 08.

 

My brother has offered to have the kids for us!! It will be a boys weekend, no washing or cleaning teeth and takeaways here they come. (My brother is single, does his best but unsure how to look after kids). He thinks if he feeds them, puts sky on lets them stay up and do what they like he's the best uncle in the world. What he fails to tell people is that he is the only uncle they have!

Yup, i have a brother like that, too. He is the best uncle in the world; has a mug to prove it too:biglaugh:.

 

Bet the playstation figures in there, and the occassional sip of stella; but dont tell yer mam!!!!

 

Well, have a good time, make sure you talk to the removals/finance and govt reps.....sooo useful, espesh on pension transferes
