Welder TRA

hi,

 

can anyone tell me does a welder have to do a pratical for the TRA? Sorry if this is a stupid question but I am not sure if all trades need to and I can't seem to find this info listed clearly anywhere. I am just thinking if a practical is included we would probably have to head over to the mainland to do it?

i didnt need to do a practical test just my certs but that was last feb hope this helps

Thanks for this. Are you a MIG welder or TIG? OH is in process of looking at TIG welding courses as he thinks this would help him over there. He has been a MIG welder for over 9 years now. Of course any training we can see is over in England, there doesn't seem to be anywhere in Northern Ireland doing the courses.

hia there isnt a lot of tig here but every bit of paper helps with the prosess good luck paul
