Hi we are new to PIA. Just noticed that you are looking for bricklayers in North Adelaide. My hubby has run his own bricklaying gang/subbie for 10 years as well as being in Site Management for a large house building company. He specialises in new builds but as that is non existent in UK at the mo he has started doing some private work extensions, patios, garages etc etc. We are just waiting for our Visa and hope to be out there April 2009. He will be looking for Bricklaying work.

Could you please advise if there is much building work in Adelaide as we seem to be getting conflicting information. And if so what would be the best area to look at moving to? It is obviously a big move for our family and we want to make sure we are moving to the right area. Any information would be greatly appreciated ie wages expected etc so that we can budget accordingly.

We have also read something about obtaining a licence. Do you know anything about this and what it actually means.
