I have been told that it is almost impossible to get plasterers here now as it has become a trade that the young guys just have not gotten into and with the terrible cracking in the older homes in Adelaide Plasterers have been in high demand. People are rebuilding walls etcetera. Nursing is always a profession that is well sort after here, don't worry I'm sure you guys will get something.
I managed to get four interviews in one day for a girl from Canada I have been working with last week.
You just need to market your skills effectively, and prepare for it before you arrive.

Hi, I have been looking on forums for some info on plasterers as my OH is one and we are planning on going to SA in August this year, he is really worried about work, but will accept anything to do as long as he is working. That info on plasterers being in demand makes me feel a little better, Thankyou

We are coming out at the end of September, and as we have a fantastic butchers in the village, just wondered if anyone wanted any of those sausages bringing over????

It appears that the Scottish butcher (which has been an Adelaide icon forever) has disappeared, I posted once before I think that there is definately a market there for someone who wants to give it a try. You should think about it, I think most of us on here would support it, and I don't think you would have to rent in an expensive area at all. If interested lets discuss it, maybe I can help.
All the best with the move.
What do the rest of you think, I sooo miss the british sausages etcetera.?????
