South Adelaide High Schools

We are currently looking at State High Schools in the South Adelaide areas around the Flagstaff Hill, Blackwood, Aberfoyle, Happy Valley area.

 

Our Daughter is 13 and loves dance and drama but not very keen about sport, wondered if anyone went to these schools or knew anything about them with regards to how good they are. Have been on their websites and of course they cant praise themselves enough

 

Also we were thinking of maybe picking a school once we arrived next year after visiting a few but not sure if this is viable as once we had decided on a school we would literally be saying "ok can she start tomorrow"

We arrived in Nsw on a Friday, phoned the school on Monday, had a look round on Tuesday, kids started on Weds, saying that it is probably different in Nsw compared to SA. We now arrive in Adelaide on 6 Nov (Fri) and will phone a couple of schools on the Monday, but will probably leave the kids till the start of the new school year in Jan.

My 2 girls started at Blackwood last Jan. were 13 and 15 at the time! Both seem to like it there and are doing well enough. Both doing drama and dance and if you don't choose P.E. as an option you only have to do it for half a year!

our friends girls go to Blackwood and are doing really well. Henley High is probably too far, but they have a fabulous specialist dance programme. Our daughter goes there and loves it.
