With the school year starting in Sept in UK.

When does the school term start in South Australia for the intake of new pupils?

School starts the term after your child is 5. There is no big intake like UK. The School Year starts after xmas hols but kids join the classes all year round.

 

Its a strange set up as you can do 6 terms in Reception. My son started in July so he did Term 3&4 in reception then again does it next year due to his bday being in June.

New school year is the end of January, but new pupils can start any time.
