Any opinion on the above school? Is it state or privately run?

Christian schools in the main are caring, have few major behavioural problems and do well at catering for the average child. If you are not religious there is often a HUGE emphasis on a bible based curriculum, if your child is not familiar with this sort of environment it may be uncomfortable. However I do know people who still send their kids to these schools because it is an affordable alternative.

thanks, my son is at a christian based school but here they push the child rather than let them plod so to speak...he is classed as a gifted and talented student and is achieving top grades and doing an A Level here so I want him to go to a comparable school at least. He wants to be a pharmasist.

probably just go to the schools you have in mind and have a chat about what they can offer your son when you get here. Of course if your child excels they will accomodate that too.
