Hot air balloon regatta

If anyone is looking for something to do this weekend, maybe head out to Strathalbyn for their hot air balloon regatta. Saturday night they light the balloons up (hopefully not with flames). $5 entry per adult. Looks good.

I used to love the Bristol Ballon festival when we lived nearby and would go find a hill and sit and watch them pass us by. They used to come down low over our house quite often too, lots of them heading the same way and trying to find somewhere to land.

By the sounds of it they are all tied up when they light them up. Makes sense I suppose lol.

I have very fond memories of a hot air balloon coming down in a field at the end of my road. They got all us kids to run around on it to get the air out lol.
