What the others said is correct. Unless a seat has been tested and approved to Aus standards its not legal for use here. Plus Australia uses the top tether which the UK does not. They use height markers here now too so its easier to know when to move your child up to the next level seat rather than going on age or weight.

 

FWIW you can buy a very highly rated (in the Aus safety tests) high back booster seat for about $70, its RRP is more but its often on special in Target etc.
