Childcare - Saturdays

Are there any chikd care providers who work Saturdays available in Adelaide or the suburbs?

Were you thinking about a registered childminder or a regular Saturday babysitter? Which suburb are you in?

It will be a regular Saturday requirement for two children. Inotably I will be at home but once I start to work it will become a requirement.

I' not familiar with any childcare places being open on a Saturday. Though there may be some. Will have a quick look around.

Family day care (childminder) may do weekends. Will depend on the person and many seem to be weekdays only. I'd expect some to do weekends but I can't see it's the norm.

 

I did find mention of one or two nurseries that did Saturday's but not many. And not sure they still do. That was only a quick search though.

 

Until you are here and know where you will be living and so on its kind of hard to nail down specific places.

When my daughter was working continuous weekend shifts and her husband was away(Army) she could not find any available formal day care in the southern suburbs, so I looked after my grandson, as there was no alternative and she wanted to keep that job. Sometimes suitably qualified students advertise on Gumtree for weekend/nanny work or you could try seeing if you can find a Family Day Care Provider who is willing to work weekends.

Thanks.....well a cheap 2 bed apartment initially anywhere within 20km of the CBD until I can get employment as well!

That's true cliffy. Lots of childcare students seek work on weekends doing babysitting and stuff.
