There is a megaplex at Marion, it has about 25 cinemas. Before the film they shoe bad advertisements and then film previews. You can buy popcorn drinks etc.

There are other smaller cinema complexes and still a few single cinemas. Most areas will have one, or a complex, usually at the major shopping area for there.

There is still one drive in cinema left, it's nice in summer. You can take your chairs or if you have a van type car, put mattresses in the back and park backwards. They usually show2- 3 films, but you just pay for how many you are going to stay for. You can take your own snacks or buy things like burgers(dodgy), popcorn sweets there.

There's even one Art Deco cinema where a guy with an organ rises up out of the stage and plays bad music before the film! Actually, last time we went, the guy only had one leg - but still managed to play brilliantly! Quite an experience...

It is quite expensive to go to the cinema here - but prices are cheaper on Tuesdays (for some reason!) and they show films all day long, so if you have the day off school/work, you can go see a film at 10 in the morning.

Don't be listening to Smit. I don't think he realised he was posting on the KIDS thread. A child's ticket(15 and under) is about $11. Only over 18s can go in the Gold Class Cinema because alcahol can be ordered to be served there, plus snacks.(gourmet).

Films are classified as G -general exhibition, suitable for all.

PG- parental guidance, but a child can still buy a ticket

M- an adult has to buy your ticket.

M15+ you have to be 15 or over.

R you have to be 18.
