Tatachilla or Mclaren Vale School

Hi there,

We are looking to arrive in Adelaide in New Year and trying to decide on schools.

We have visited and looked around Mclaren Vale school, which we were impressed with!

But just wanting thoughts/views on Tatachilla College just down the road. I know its a fee paying school and heard a couple of views on it but just wanted to know other peoples opinions. Has anyone got children there? Or heard much about it?

It'svery popular and has expanded rapidly in the last few years.Lutheran schools usually have a good name with an emphasis on fair discipline. However if you are thinking primary, check out the local primaries first, a lot do some really good things and then you can save your money for later if you find they are right for you.

We are visiting friends this afternoon who have 3 boys. The youngest goes to MCVale primary and the oldest two to Tatachilla-she is pleased with both schools but if you need to know specifics just let me know and I'll ask her

I have also met 2 families who have children in Tat, 2 of them are primary & the other 3 are middle/high school, in fact their eldest leaves this year. All 5 'children' love the school & both families are very happy with the education provided.
