  1. Hi did you get a property, we are breaking the lease this month on our 4 bed in Sheidow park? Lease finishes mid Sept
  2. Open inspection Sat 6th Feb 12.00-12.15 http://www.realestate.com.au/property-house-sa-sheidow+park-405378641
  3. Due to moving interstate we have to break the lease on our lovely 4 bed/2 bath home in Sheidow Park. We are leaving late Feb / early March and is $420 per week The house overlooks a park and scenic walking path and is in the catchment zone for Woodend Primary. Home will be advertised on Real Estate next week but pm me for more details.
  4. Thanks Mazza :-) We are currently in a long term rental, we are going to rent for longer than we planned to help us catch up financially but we don't mind as love our rental. Best of luck with everything
  5. Well the good news is I now have a job and more positions showing up now for my hubby. Hopefully he will get something soon. Staying positive :-)
  6. Hi, we arrived in Oct and neither myself (admin) or my husband (fitter) have been able to secure employment. It has got us down at times, when my husband gets interviews and even sent for medicals and still gets a no at the end but we are trying to think positive. We are determined to make if out here and you just have to get back on the job hunting horse. Be prepared to look at all avenues for work, it's not just the websites and papers, everybody we have met out here we have mentioned we are looking for work. You never know who that person may know who is looking to fill a position. We may be the unlucky ones as it seems a lot of people are getting work within the first month but hoping for some good news soon. Good luck with the move, we love it here :-)
  7. Hi, we arrived just over a week ago (me 35 Neil 38 Joe 7 and Ryan 4) and I completely understand what you are going through. I felt the same before we left (and to be honest will continue to do so now here) but you have come so far. Once you get here and you see the kids having so much fun it helps. We are staying in a short term in moana which is beautiful, we have sorted TFN, Medicare etc.., bought a used car and started viewing long term rentals. It gets boring for the kids so they look forward to going down the beach or playground at the end of the day. It is hard but up to now I reckon we have made the right decision. Now just need to make some friends
  8. Thanks , our journeys so far are so similar..i only said to my hubby yesterday that i really like the look of Seacliff..just not sure if our budget would stretch up to that area!! Good luck with your move too :-)
  9. Well we live just outside Salford so guess even some of the less desirable suburbs mentioned in other posts will seem pretty great compared to here!!! We are not sure on the areas to live as depends on where hubby will be based work wise but keeping our options open. Would love to be South Adelaide as would love a coastal suburb but will see how we feel when we get there.
  10. This is my first post but to be honest have been visiting the PIA site for over a year now as part of our research.Have got some invaluable information from you guys so thank you all so much... well here is our story, over the past 6 months we got out PR visas, sold the house and today just had Pickfords load up our life onto a container. Now it feels very real...dont know if i have been living in a surreal world of research and organisation but today is the first day it has felt like thinks are really happening and we are actually going to live in oz. Everyone keeps asking us Have we been to Oz before...no ....have you friends and family there ...yes but in Melbourne...so guess you have jobs then...erm no!! The looks we get off people are a picture but hey life is for the taking and we feel the time is now right to make the move. We are flying with SQ from Manchester on the 15th Oct and landing into ADL on the 17th (long connection in Singapore to chill out) Have 6 weeks booked into a short term rental and hoping to secure a long term rental after that....if there is anybody who fancies a meet up over the next few months would be lovely to meet some fellow PIA members. We have two boys aged 7 & 4 and sure they would love to meet some new pals.
