  1. Hi We are breaking lease on our lovely rental in Moana and it will be available in approx 3 weeks time. The property is modern spacious two storey, with 3/ 4 bedrooms (we use the downstairs bedroom as a lounge currently). It has a spacious family room downstairs and rumpus room upstairs. The large main bedroom has a balcony with patio doors plus ensuite and walk in robe. The house also has a single garage, off road parking and neat back garden with patio area. The house is situated on a quiet street which is just a couple of minutes walk to the beautiful Moana beach. Please PM for link to photos and more information. Sue

  10. Hi Sam, I totally agree we had a hard 6 months last year but life is far more positive now. We were prepared that there is a lot of casual work and that you also take a big step back but until you live it you cannot appreciate how hard it can be at times. Good luck with your job search and best wishes for your future, Sue xx
  11. Hi Sam, it's great to hear how people are doing. We moved over in May 14 and and agree after the first couple of months being busy you do start to think about how big the move actually is. I was lucky and found work quite quick but my husband had found it harder doing casual work. He now has a full time casual role with the first company he went to and that has made life more stable. Our boys who are 16 and 13 are settled and enjoying life here. I agree that there are days when you question what you have done and the guilt of leaving family back in the UK. But we have a lovely rental with the beautiful Moana beach at the end of the road so we also look at how lucky we are to be here. We now have Harvey a golden retreiver who loves the beach and has helped us all settle. Good luck to everyone who is planning the move over. Regards Sue
  12. Hi we have booked a table for tomorrow night too, sorry we are not on Facebook but hope to see some of you there too, Sue
  13. Hi we have been here just over a year and are also in Moana. We are also thinking of going to the surf club on Friday, do you need to book a table or can you just turn up? Now we are more settled it would be great to meet more people, we have 2 boys aged 15 and 12.
  14. Hi, I use Diversity in Seaford Shopping Centre. I have my hair coloured and cut and have been happy with the service.
  15. Hi, we moved over 6 months ago and are living in Moana. My eldest son goes to Cardijn College in Noarlunga which we have been very impressed with. My youngest son is in year 6 at Moana Primary and we have just applied for him to also go to Cardijn. We came over with no jobs and took a bit of a financial risk in sending our son to Cardijn but we was in year 9 so it was important to us for him to settle in. I have also heard good things about Willunga High and we are thinking of taking a look round before we settle on his schooling. I would say take a look around the schools and get a feel for them. It's so hard when you first arrive to get everything to fit together but I am sure it will all work out for you.
