Thanks for the replies, my boys are soccer Mad so this was the main reason for opting for wirreanda, we've been in a similar position before where one of mine didnt like his secondary school and moved when he was 13, they're quite good academically too so I'm hoping they carry on the same as they did in the UK, like you say it takes time to really see what a schools like, I'm hoping it's a good move, will check back In a few months

Thanks for looking, we have decided to send the boys to wirreanda as they were exepted onto the sports program, this is something very important to them at the moment, we've also just secured a rental in port noarlunga so not going to live in that area, we decided in the end that if it isnt what the boys expect then we will look again, it's a difficult one as the school they came from was quite strict and an excellent academic school, here it's a lot more relaxed, I guess only time will tell,!!!

hi does any PIA members have any recent experience on wirreanda high school, we've just had a look around and two of my boys have been tested for the sports program as were out of the school zone, if im honest it looked a bit tatty, not sure if this is a reflection on the school or not, anyone got middle school & senior school kids that go here or any recommendations of other schools (public), we are based in moana/ port noarlunga and are waiting to look around seaford but leaning towards wirreanda because of the sports program they offer, any advice will be appreciated as only been here for two weeks!!!

Anyone in the area There's a Brit night at Moana surf club this Friday, think there's darts & pool, we've been the last few Friday's & had a good time

Just thought I'd add that we brought a suitcase full of hand tools and a couple of drills, we jeyes cleaned them then wrapped in polythene, we declared everything at customs as some items had wooden handles, no one looked at anything and we went straight though, not had our shipped goods yet but it was ok for tools to come in baggage

We're in Moana, me, hubby & 4 boys soon to be 3,( 11, 12, 15 & 21) as oldest going back to UK for uni, only been here for 10 days so not been far!! Did go to Moana surf club for curry night and going again this Friday (no cooking !) be glad to meet up with anyone in the area
