  6. Hi Fran, I'm more than happy if you would like to give me a call and I can discuss the Conveyancing process with you and explain about the cooling off period and the contract conditions like finance approval, building/pest inspections etc. Good look! Kerry
  7. Hi All, A little while back I recall seeing a post about a fish & chip shop in Glenelg opened by ex-pats. Can anyone tell me where this is please? We're thinking of having fish and chips at the beach tonight with the rellies. Thanks in advance. Kerry
  8. We had gas ducted heating installed two years ago and it's fantastic - just had our bill yesterday for winter $440. I programme it so it's warm when we get up in a morning - we even had a duct put in the bathroom so it's warm when you undress to take a shower in the morning. Then we'll put it on in the evening - it's zoned so we just add the bedrooms before we go to bed. My aussie friend was telling me that she's spent $1000 on wood this winter for her log burner - apparently the way to go is buy now in bulk and store/dry the wood out for next winter??
  9. Hi All, My husband and I arrived in Adelaide over six years ago and have found lots of useful information, bought furniture and made friends thanks to Poms in Adelaide and your support. That said, I've decided it's time to give something back! As a Solicitor, who originally qualified in England over 10 years ago, I'm planning on holding a Wills Information Session to explain generally about Wills, Enduring Powers of Attorney and Advance Care Directives and what happens if you don't have them in place. This is a free session to be held at my office in the City - Level 6/68 Grenfell Street Adelaide between 11am - 12 noon on Tuesday 22 September 2015. If you think this will be useful and would like to join me for morning tea please PM me to book as places will be limited. Kerry
  10. Hi, I'd be pleased to assist you with your wills. I can do a home visit if required. Regards, Kerry
  11. Hi, I'd be happy to assist you with conveyancing. Any questions you have please let me know. Kerry
  12. Sorry I can't make it this time Diane. Hope you all have a fabulous day :-)
  13. Hi Nep12, I just called RevenueSA (spoke to Zac) to check and he advised that you have to be an Australian Resident at the time to apply for the FHOG and that you must apply within 12 months of the settlement date - so based on this you should be eligible as it's a new home. Of course FHOG for established dwellings was reduced to nil on 1 July 2014 but it's $15,000 for new homes (from 15 October 2012). Hope this helps. Kerry
  14. I know Mawson Lakes Hotel are showing it. We've ordered it ourselves from Foxtel $60.
