mate mate this is just my guess...i think you should wait until your wife also finishes the 2 year stay...because while you are applying, it will ask if there are any dependents? if you say yes and the dependent doesn't fulfill his/her conditions they will straight away reject the visa!If you want to apply early And if you do not add the dependent to your application...i dont think you can launch another separate application for her as a dependent as like the main applicants! So my guess is that you have to wait! everybody is confused with these changes in rules! Its better you check with any MARA agent before you apply! else lets see what the forum members says!

As per my knowledge...since you are going to apply for 887 this November, your wife will be granted a bridging visa automatically once her 489 expires, provided she must be in australia to grant a bridging visa...i dont think you should apply for a renewal!...

hi shankar...just out of curiosity...how many weeks it took for you to get your new borns passport...coz its mentioned that it would take 8 weeks of time for new indian passport...so i just wanna know ...how many weeks it took for you guys? thnx in advance

our 489 visa has expired(4 years stay finished) and we are currently on bridging visa...we have been granted bridging visa on feb 2016...its more than an year now w've been on bridging visa...in the immi website it is clearly mentioned that your current visa status will be given to your new born...so since we are on bridging visa , i think our new born will directly get bridging visa... and in your case i think you are on 489 visa and thats the reason your new born was given 489 and then bridging...!!! my new born is jus 26 days old..so hopefully we wish to get a grant before she turns 6 months so that there is no chance for CO to request for medicals again...!...all the best brother!

thank you for the reply! N yes, this is he fourth time CO contacting me for the docs again! I applied on 7th july 2016!!! First CO contacted on 25th oct: asked more docs for showing regional area, submitted docs on 28th Second CO 11th jan: more docs for employment submitted docs after one week third CO(different CO)23rd march: more docs for employment again submitted docs after two days fourth time 6th may: asking for only new born's birth n passport submitted birth n waiting for passport. thankfully this time CO didnt ask for any of my employment/regional area docs again.

one more doubt...how many weeks is it taking for new born's indian passport...! would appreciate response from members who have been through this situation...thnx in advance!

Hi guys...! CO contacted me via email requesting for my new born daughter's birth certificate and passport. Got the birth certificate...applied for indian passport! Finally...requesting for only these docs...hopefully looking forward for a grant soon...! goodluck for everyone !

Like it depends, its a different response time for evryone...but for most of us, the response was like after two months i believe...

yes mate...its been like really long wait! And i believe that whatsoever, once if the CO contact us for further documents you can expect the response from him after two months...coz its my third time CO asked for docs and the response i got from him for the last two times he contacted was after two months... so blindly, the rule is requested docs- will get response after two months

my wife is pregnant and we are expecting the baby in two weeks...i was desperately waiting that this time i would get a grant for sure since i submitted all the docs mentioned on the list...and look..asked for business card now which is like...n now m sure ...i should wait for another 3 months for grant coz if i dont get grant by the time baby is born...i shud submit documents for new born and so on...and the story never ends... can i request them to look at my application faster since we are expecting a baby in two weeks? any suggestions?...its 9 months now since i have lodged my application...

It looks like they dont wanna clear the pending list soon...i was contacted by CO yesterday asking for a business card...provided "all" documents...i dont understand what is to do with business card now which was not mentioned in the list before and they specifically asked for it now...sent it yesterday itself...i feel like this wait is not gonna end soon...n the rules changed which is soo disgusting..very very disappointed...

i'm sure about one thing mate, for everyone who is trying to contact them on calls the ans is WAIT, and for the ones sending mails, they giving response to some people and not responding to others...so its just nothin but trying your luck pinging them each n every day about the status of our application.
