  1. Thanks robeaves. I called them this arvo but this is not likely going to happen; so need to wait until it is 12-Jun
  2. Morning All, I have a quick question, can I apply for Citizenship before completing my permanent residency timeline? We'll finish our pr timeline on 12-Jun-2016 (3yrs on TR + 1 yr as PR) and as citizenship can take some time to process so planning to apply beforehand. Any thoughts will be highly appreciable. Thank you!
  3. Very useful information. Thanks ! It may sound a bit silly, but if someone can help that will be highly appreciable. I'm looking to enrol my 2 yo boy in Immanuel Primary. The school is asking for a letter of reference about the family. I queried whether this would be more relevant once my son is older, but they said they need it now with the application form. Not having done this before, I'm wondering what they're looking for? Has anyone else done this, and if so, what worked for you? Any advice greatly appreciated
  4. After I applied, we went to overseas for almost 3 months - i think that's the reason for the delay.. I was only allocated with a case officer after I came back to Adelaide.
  5. Congrats Satz... You don't have to do anything at this stage; if bub will born before 887 approval, you need to then include your baby within your application. At that time, you need to fill Form 1022 (Notification of changes in circumstances), attach birth certificate of your baby and send it to immigration. Immi will then grant Bridging visa for the baby and will add your baby to your 887 application. if you receive your 887 approval before your baby will born - your baby will be a Australian citizen by born. We had a similar situation - my son was born after our 887 application. I have applied for 887 in June 2013 (still waiting for approval though) and my boy was born in September 2013. Hope this helps. All the best
  6. Congratulations Melissa. If you need a visa label in your passport, go to your nearest DIAC office, pay the fee.. any they'll do that instantly..
  7. My case officer is R.T. I have applied on June; no news yet. When did you apply?
  8. Hi all, I am back here after a long time. I applied for 887 (from 475) on 8 June 2013. CO allocated on 28 Nov 2013. CO asked for form 80, submitted that on 30 Nov but till then there is no news. Emailed CO couple of times, but no response. My CO is RT. After I lodge my application but before CO allocation, my secondary applicants went overseas for 2 months between Mid Nov 2013 to Jan 2014. After they came back, they have granted BVA again. Do you guys think that will delay my case? Anybody is in a similar boat like mine?
  9. Hey Pulkit, I have applied on June and CO allocated on last week. So yours can be anytime now; and it is better not to travel now overseas as that will cause further delays. Cheers,
  10. Thanks Hara; but haven't heard anything yet since I have emailed them form 80. It's now a waiting game for me
  11. Hi violetrose, Thanks for the clarifications. My wife & my boy went overseas only last week and at that time we weren't pretty sure that we'll get our CO at this time. Cheers,
  12. Hey Merlino, I was assigned a CO yesterday and he asked me to submit form 80 which I have done already. I applied on 8 June 2013; so your can be anytime mate. Cheers,
  13. Great news Natts; but you only left Australia last week or so isn't it? Did they give you any time frame for your return? I was assigned to a CO yesterday and he asked for form 80 which I have already emailed to him. My wife and newborn (both of them are secondary applicants) are travelling overseas, do you think they need to be in Australia while the CO finalize my 887? Have a great time. Cheers,
  14. Just received an email from Adelaide GSM team 10 asking for Form 80 for my with & my new born. Applied on 08/06/2013. Things are moving for me
