    Christmas Flu??

ive picked up summat too in the last few days, and feel pants today too, so summat going round i think, hope u feel better soon, not nice feeling crap on this special day:)
  2. try not to stress over those things, its prob best to get here then drive round and you will soon know which suburbs you feel more comfortable in, you dont need to get the kids in school in the first few days of landing, so slow down, take it all in, try and enjoy those first few days a little and things will fall into place, it is very stressful worrying where to go and panicking about schools, but really theres no need to worry, most peeps tend to take a tour of the suburbs they research and then base their decisions on what they see, you get a feel for a place i think pretty quick, keep an open mind and you will be just fine:) enjoy your last weeks/months where you are and good luck when you land in adelaide:)
  3. i work at coles noarlunga and we had loads in, but sold the last yesterday, had loads peeps in today asking after em,but all gone.I was gonna get myself some today too and missed out.

  5. we had same probs, moment we had our visa granted we put our house on the market, 6 months on and we had no offers, our visa had to be validated by may and by feb we still hadnt sold, the market was getting worse and we needed the small amount of equity in our house to make the move, we reduced the house 30k and the price we now had it at would give us enough for flights and for us to survive for a few weeks, we couldnt afford a validation trip and was worried if the house prices dropped anymore we would end up in negative equity and then would have been stuck there, so end of feb came and we took the house off the market, was convinced we had run out of time, i cried buckets for a week thinking our dreams were over, our visa would expire and we would never make it, hubby convinced me to put the house back on the market with a new agent and give it one last go, within a week of it going back on market, a couple who had put a offer in on another house that the chain had colapsed was dropping a friend off in our street and seen our house up for sale and came for a viewing, loved the house and needed a quick completion cos her buyer was waiting for her house etc the offer was 9k less and we then had to make a hard decision, was our only offer we either had to take it and come with not much money or refuse it and forget the dream of being here, we decided to take our chances and we accepted the offer, we gave strict instructions we completed by april or we would pull out. A week before our move date, it looked like it was all gonnna fall to pieces when our buyers buyer hadnt even had his mortgage approved, i cried again, but it all came good and we completed on time with a month to spare on our visa and we have been here 3 half years and are settled(mostly) im a great believer in whats meant to be and if ya are meant for things to happen they will happen. keep ya chin up things can change when you least expect it:) Dawn x

  7. whats happening? u cant get the wireless router set up? plug the thing in then ur pc should find new hardware, then click to set it up, it should then ask for your wireless router key which should be a number found on the box somewhere that the router came in, put that in and it should work? thats very basic instructions anyway lol as told by my 18 year old when i just asked him, my hubby could prob do it for you no probs as he set ours up, and we are only in seaford but hes on call for work this week and hes out right now, if u still cant do it let me know and i'll ask him when he gets home, might even be able to ring you if you like and run through it with u over the phone?
  8. we've been here almost 3 years and i have days like this quite often now and i was one of those that had settled from the start, my hubby got sick a few months ago and at that time my head asked me where i would wanna be had something of happened to him and my head chose the uk, thankfully he made a full recovery but ever since ive had those awful days where i just dont wanna be here, which has totally thrown a spanner in the works for us cos we was all set to stay, now given the choice i dont know if id go back or stay, hubby loves it here, kids love it here, so im happily staying here to keep my family happy for now, so i just keep myself as busy as possible and maybe things will change again for me. Who knows what the future holds for any of us eh, we can only live each day as it comes and it will pan out how its meant to be i believe, stay strong and whats meant to be will be:) it might well pass as quickly as it came to to head, well thats what i keep telling myself anyway Dawn x

  11. we have a old 4 burner flat bed bbq, its been sat outside in all weathers for the past 12 months and i aint even looked at it, so dont know how bad it is but its had the cover over the cooking plates, so with a good scrub it should come up well enough to see you through ya first aussie summer, theres no gas bottle with it tho so you would have to go buy one, but if ya willing to put a bit of elbow grease in and give it a good scrub and come pick it up from seaford, you are more than welcome to it:) i'll get hubby to go out and have a quick look at it in morn just check all the burner knobs aint rusted solid or owt on it lol cant help with owt else, but just remembered we had this sat out in garden gathering dust since we purchased a new one last year just send me a pm for addy if u wanna come pick it up:) good luck finding your other bits too:) Dawn xx
  12. yep all urs hun if ya want it, just drop me a pm when ya wanna come collect it, its all been taken down ready to be transported:)
  13. I have a solid wood, i think its what they call antique oak in colour, 2 years old, good condition with mattress, no scratches as far as i can see, was used by our 17 year old teen so not been jumped on like the little uns beds, see attached pics for condition and colour, its being taken apart right now, so ready to be picked up asap, we are in seaford, sorry pics arent great its in a tiny little 6ft room and cant get much light in there, but ya welcome to come have a look anytime:) Am asking $150 for it, cost $750 2 years ago so bargain:)
  14. direct connect are a company that will sort out getting ur services connected in your new house, gas electric, telephone internet etc, you will just get one call from them, they will ask u which services u want connected and then arrange it all for you for the date you take over the lease, or a chosen date when u move in, if i remember right, we used them when we first arrived 2 half years ago and it was helpful not knowing which companies provide which services, we found it useful and easier than trying to ring round several different companies trying to get everything turned on, took the hassle out of it. Good luck with the rental, and hope you soon settle into life here in adelaide:) Dawn x
