Anyone on a 175 non-CSL and non-MODL?

Hi Guys,

 

I see a lot of you are applying for 475 and 176 visas and some 175 MODL/ CSL...are there any of you out there who have lodged for 175 non-MODL. We lodged in December 2008 and I have just contacted our agent to see if they know when there may be any movement on our type of visas. At the moment there is no movement and we will have to wait and see what is said in the new year from July 09. We are hoping to get out to Adelaide some time next year...I really hope this is a realistic aim.

 

Is there anyone out there who is in the same boat?

I am just completing my on-line 175 application (must be sent by next week when I turn 35). I too have an occupation that is not MODL or CSL.

I am not using an agent but when I got a free consultation with one a few weeks ago before starting my application they said I would still be fine as long as my job was on the SOL and I met the points criteria. They just said I would be low down the pecking order regarding the speed my application would be dealt with. I guess speed of processing was your main concern but they couldn't (or wouldn't) give me a good any firm idea - sorry !

I really hope you get some good news soon and achieve your aim to be in Adelaide next year. I hope we won't be too far behind you either !

Ahhh, thanks for posting. We started the whole process in March 2008, but due to my husband taking exams we were a little slower in gathering all the info. Our plan has always been to go in 2010, I just hope that that is realistic. I just wanted to find out if there were actually others applying for the same visa as us on the forum....bit of moral support.
