hi im moving to adelaide end september with my wife and 2 kids. perm residents 176. can i work straight off or do i need any specific cards, is the blue card just like a health n safety card.

If you want to be self employed house bashing you'll need a licence and then you need to do some qualifications, you can do these most places but TAFE and the Master Builders Association are the best places.

 

To get the licence you'll have to go to OCBA

cheers mate for the info, this qualification you mean is that the tafe level 3 iv done here all ready in england as part of my visa application.

Yeah looks that way. we have still got the cscs handbook knocking around somewhere too.
