Visa 475: Work Permit

Hi,

I have applied for visa 475(SRS). I have work experience in Software Testing. But my nominated occupation is of Libarian. Vetasses evaluation for the same is completed successfully.

 

Can I work in the field of software testing even if my nominated occupation is of Librarian?

 

If I do so, will it affect my PR application?

 

Please advice me on this.

We asked our agent this question and he said its fine to work in another field as long as its not something like bar work or a beach bum!

Hi there

 

I am not 100% sure why librarian is on the list. I am a qualified librarian and the jobs are few and far between - loads in other states though. There doesn't seem to be a shortage of us over there in SA!

 

However, to answer your question - yes you can work in another field on the 475. I asked our agent this. I also found out that your partner can be the one in full time work to gain PR - even if you aren't. Hope thats the case!
