Visa Application

Hi all,

We got our State sponsorship approved on the 25th of June and this was sent to DIAC to change the visa to state sponsored. Just wondering if any of you are on the same time line as we are and could tell us if you have got a C/O yet? We have got an agent doing all the paper work, we just want to make sure that we haven't missed out or have the immigration slowed down with processing.

Cheers

Hi dwain dibly!!!

Yes we got SA sponsorship on the 26th june and then a CO confirmed on the 20th of july requesting medicals and police checks. we are using an agent (VISA BUREAU). I don't think you will be waiting much longer (you'll prob get a call tomorrow yourself!!). We've got are meds on thursday 30th july.

Like our case worker has told us before when we were chasing up our application "your file is proberly on someones desk who doesn't work as quick as others".

Good luck

Neil Jane and Joseph

Guest Glenda

hi there we got SS granted on 26th June, then got 176 application in on 27th. I am doing the whole thing my self and I'm not sure how I know if I have been assigned a CO. My status page just says processing commenced but they havent asked us to go for medicals or anything yet. I have attached all the documents to the application but it still states "required" for all our documents. Can you tell me what it says when a CO has been assigned?

Thanks,

Hi Glenda.

Form our experience from using an agent, they will send you an Email stating case officer has requested medicals etc..

Knowing now that Medicals and Police checks are vaild for 1 year, and you will deff get a CO very soon, off your own back, persue in doing the police checks so you have the paper work ready.

The medicals require a visa case officer number and the medical team send this direct to Sydney!! via a courier, (you'll need the recept of postage to inform your CO you've had them done).

To arrange a UK police clearance certificate you must visit the website of the UK Association of Chief Police Officers (ACPO), (http://www.acpo.police.uk/certificates.asp), where you can download the relevant application form and latest guidelines. Each certificate will cost you about £35 per person for standard service which takes about 10 working days (2-3 weeks).

MEDICAL

google search - UK Panel Doctors, a list of approved panel doctors here in the UK

google search Form 26 – Medical Application Form, to be completed for each applicant doing a medical check

google search Form 160 – X-Ray Application Form, to be completed for each applicant aged 11 yrs and older doing an x-ray
