Wayward teenager

Hi!

We have a 14, nearly 15 year old son who is currently mixing with the wrong kind of kids (which is one of our reasons for a fresh start in Adalaide). We are currently awaiting the state sponsorship acceptance, and are looking to lodge the main 176 visa application in the next couple of months.

At present there has been no request for any details like this in respect of our children, but am aware that police checks will be due nearer the time. Are these done on Under 16's?

Any advice would be gratefully received as we are beginning to panic

Hi

I don't recall having to have police checks for any of my kids before coming out here. I feel for you as I know how hard it is with teenagers and you just cannot choose their friends for them, it does not work that way. Good luck.
