Time scale for 176 visas

Have been informed today that the Visa Bureau is lodging our 176 Visa application.

 

We have anticipated a 6-8 month processing time before a visa is granted however some of the posts on PIA show that the visas could be through as quickly as 2-3 months. Has anyone been granted their visa recently and if so, how long did it take? If things are on the hurry up then Rob has a lot of DIY to complete LOL

Hi Rob and Jane,

 

Not quite sure what to advise you at the moment, we are on a 176 with SS and family sponsorship etc, and our visa application was flying until the new visa announcements in Sept. We have had all our medicals and police checks finalised, and were hoping to have got the visa at the end of September, now when I e-mail and ask my CO for an update she says she cannot tell me anything and we may here some news by the end of Oct, all she is processing is CSL applications.

 

So who knows what's going on! If you are on the CSL then you should be ok.

Thank you for that. We do come under the CSL as I am a nurse. It seems that things seem to fly through once the CO is appointed which obviously hasn't been done yet. We shall have to wait and be patient! Good luck with your application. Jane:wubclub:
