457 visa.. !

Hello all,

 

I know there is another post regarding this visa, but I wanted to ask a slightly different question.........has anybody gone over on this visa and then applied for Perm Res more a less straight away. An agent told me I could do this, therefore freeing me from an employer, but I am not totally sure ........has anybody done this?

Hi guys

yes we did just that, we came to Adelaide on the 457 and applied for the 176 after about 3 months could of done it before if we had wanted to. Remember you will have to leave Oz to have the visa granted if you apply for the 175 or 176. We went to NZ for 5 days. hope this helps

Thanks for the info Heidi....just a few more qu's !......how much sooner do you think you could have applied for PR?

How long did it take to come through from start to finish?

How has your year been and why Port Noarlunga?

Are the girls settled? We have a girl of 6 and boy of 5, i think they would probably settle very well but its always nice to hear from others.
