Hi, we haven't been on for some time now. Hit a barrier when my husbands skill came off the list! Anyway, we were advised by a brilliant agent that we could have a vetassess reassessed for a different skill, which we have done, and have had this passed so we are up and running again. Not ones to be put off that easily!! Presently signing up with him, we are so grateful for his advice and are now applying for sponsorship. Finally!! We do have a minor question which I would appreciate an answer to if anyone knows. If coming out on a 475 temp visa would you still be eligible for the equivalent of the UK child benefit? Have tried researching this and am not sure this would be the case.

As far as I am aware all the temp visas do not attract benefits of any kind, they are only available to permanent residents. Sorry:sad:

hi im a plasterer by trade and mine also come off the list, we found out that my other half cos she was born in oz in 1971 is still an aussie citizen so her and our 5 children all have aussie passports now, but even though shes classed as a citizen she cant even claim any benefits for 2 yrs after moving there but thats on a spouse visa, sometimes wish oz was like uk we let any1 come in and give them our benefits haha, but then again i wouldnt want that,its annoying that shes a citizen and cant claim nothing so it is a case of when we get there both finding jobs a.s.a.p,good luck.
