We had a 20 foot container to ourselves and it took 6 and a half weeks to get to Adelaide and a week to clear customs over the Christmas week. There was a ship leaving Tilbury straight away that night so the container arrived very early in the morning to pack up.

Our ship passed Adelaide without stopping, went to Melbourne, then Sydney then Melbourne again before finally deciding to call in at Adelaide, so it took an extra 10 days than we were originally told. In total, it took 3 weeks longer than the original docking date we were given. (Shipping line used was MSC)
