can we bring champagne???

This probably seems bizarre but we have had a leaving do and been given some bottles of champagne which are quite expensive but as we are leaving this week will not get round to drinking them. we were gonna give them away and someone said we could take them with us in our suitcases but not hand luggage - is this correct???

To be on the safe side i would call the airline direct, better to be safe than sorry.

Yes you should be ok. I took some wine back to England in January when I went back for a holiday. I told them at the check in desk but they weren't really bothered.

You can but there is a limit on how much you can bring - although not sure 100% what it is (2 bottles perhaps). Check on the AAL website or customs.
